1. What languages do you speak and how well?
Spanish - 2 years in high school and 3 semesters in college. Hypothetically, this should mean that I can speak Espanol decently. Um, kinda. I'm better at reading at listening to it - grammar has always killed me so my speaking skilz aren't the best. But I've used bits and pieces of it here and there w.out many problems so I guess it's decent. I also know a smattering of German (mostly bad stuff :P) and just a shred of French. Oh yeah...and a little Japanese but that's mostly what I can remember from watching anime :)
2. What is your reaction to most of the insect world?
Buggy buggy bugs. I would say 50/50. I like your standard cute bugs - ladybugs, fireflies/lightning bugs, butterflies. Woolly bear caterpillars have always been fun to watch. Grasshoppers are cool too, as are daddy longleggers, crickets, and bumble/honeybees. The other 50: I do not like wasps, yellow jackets, hornets and any other bug that stings and causes pain. I especially loath mosquitoes...I'm one of those people who gets nasty bites from them. Spiders...I'm split on. I don't mind some spiders but don't like to find them in my stuff or crawling on me. When I found a rather large spider on my hiking boots the other day, my reaction was less than stunning (me screaming and throwing my boot across the porch). But we've got to share the same Earth, the same space, and we're both God's creatures. However, I'm not opposed to smacking something that's trying to sting me, bite me, or just being a pain.
3. Whats your most embaressing story ever?
Heh...well...okay - here's the most recent one. I had gone w. Michael, a former volunteer from my house, to Natural Bridge State Park for the CAP Employee Picnic. Mike, insisting that I should work on my driving skilz, had me drive his car there. We made it there w. no problem. Coming home was a different story. I made a wrong turn in Booneville, KY on the way back and ended up going the total opposite way from Jackson County. He fell asleep and I kept driving, hoping that I'd see a familiar landmark or something. The next thing I know, I'm driving up mountains w. 15 MPH signs and curves that were basically the road bent in half. After driving and trying not to panic, I pull into a gas station...at which point Michael wakes up and asks "Where are we?" I reply "We're lost - I'm going to ask for directions". I go into the station and find out that I am waaaay out of the way of Jackson County...and the atmosphere of the place just sorta creeped me out. I jump back into the car, manage to get out of there, and drive back most of the way home absolutely embarrassed.
4. Star Trek or Star Wars and why?
That's tough...I really do love Star Wars but I'd have to go w. Star Trek. I loved the fact that they would explore the universe and meet all sorts of different cultures (which they do in Star Wars too). But even when they met difficulty or danger, it was always met w. coolness and calm. Wait, that sounds like the Jedi. And then there the Borg. They were creepy but the episodes w. them in it were awesome. But they had that cube instead of the Death Star. Umm...Wesley Crusher? o.O I CAN'T CHOOSE - I LIKE THEM BOTH!!!!
5. Whats your opinion about Rush Limbaugh?
Honestly? I am a big supporter of the freedom of speech and having the right and the freedom to say whatever you want. However, I sorta think he was too opinionated and a little too outspoken. His drug addiction was unfortunate and at least he took steps to correct it.
